Welcome to Skyedokai Kendo Club

Skyedokai is a small, friendly Kendo club based on the Isle of Skye. The club is run by John Hepburn Sensei, Rokudan Renshi.

Kendo (the way of the sword) – is a modern Japanese martial art of sword-fighting based on traditional swordsmanship (kenjutsu) which originated with the samurai class of feudal Japan.

Kendo is a physically and mentally challenging activity that combines martial arts practices and values with strenuous physical activity and explosive movement.
